The SCCBL announced that Tim Leary (Team San Diego) has won Player of the Month and Morgan Earman (Palm Springs POWER) has won Pitcher of the Month.
Leary was on fire this month hitting .409 and driving in 19 TSD men. The big right-handed bat was also an extra base machine this month recording five doubles, two triples and six home runs. He walked eight times and scored 16 times. Leary led Team San Diego in multiple categories this season including average, home runs and runs batted in. This is the second time that Leary has been honored with hardware this season.
Earman, the POWER ace this month, was 2-0 in July with two saves in four appearances. He twirled 17.2 innings pitched and only allowed five hits, three runs and one run in July. The Palm Desert native also struck out 21 men this month. This was the first time that Earman has been honored this season although the second time the POWER won a monthly award (Jake Howeth won player of the month in June). The right-hander has been fantastic this season going 4-1 with a 0.88 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 41.1 innings pitched.
